Submit Blog to Google Webmaster Tools

Google Webmaster Tools is a set of tools for the website owners to communicate with Google search engine. Its also known as the Search console, where you can check how google indexing your site. Its one of the basic thing to do in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). It also help you to find errors or infections caused from malware’s or anything else.

We already discussed about submitting website to various search engines and this can be taken as the next step in basic SEO.

First of all login to Google Webmaster Tool ? Search Console with your google account. Click on the direct link below to login

>https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/

You can see a field for adding your website URL, enter your site link and click on ” ADD PROPERTY” button. If you already submitted any other sites, it will show the sites there and above them there will the button for submitting new property.

Now you have to verify  your ownership of the blog. You can see some different methods there. Select Alternate Method and click on HTML tag.

Verification Process in WordPRess

If your blog is in WordPress platform and using SEO plugins like Yoast SEO  then there will be provision for verifying webmaster tools. In which just copy and paste this Verification code and click Verify” button on search console.

If you are not using any plugins then copy the entire HTML tag and paste it under <head > tag header.php file. To get this file click >> Appearance >> Editor and select header.php. The main draw back of this method is you have to add this code each time when you change the themes. So better use any plugins. 

Verification Process in Blogger

Blogger users login to your dashboard. Click on Template >> Edit HTML click anywhere inside the HTML code then search (CTRL+S) for <head> tag. Paste the HTML verification tag from the google search console below this header tag. Save template and go back to the Google Webmaster tool window and click “Verify” button.
